17/1/19 Latest 36 hour forecast
The day will start cold with occasional sunny spells although areas of cloud will be moving across the island at first with perhaps even the odd light wintry shower but most places staying dry. As the morning goes on the cloud will move away to give some long sunny spells and these will last for the rest of the day.
Temperature 4’c to 5’c
Wind NW 23mph gusting to 34mph becoming NNW and easing to 21mph – 27mph later
Clear spells at first but the cloud will increase as the night goes on. There will be a frost developing rather quickly although as we move into the second half of the night the increasing cloud is likely to lift the temperature a little.
Temperature falling to -1’c to 1’c in many places at first but slowly rising to be closer to 2’c to 4’c later and remaining closer to 5’c on windward coasts throughout
Wind NNW 14-19mph becoming 3-7mph then turning SSE 5-7mph later
A cloudier day than on Thursday although a few brighter spells are still possible at times. Later in the day the cloud will thicken further to bring the risk of some showery rain through the evening and into the night.
Temperature 5’c to 6’c
Wind S 15-23mph becoming SSE 23mph gusting to 30mph
