Cloud thickening further overnight to bring a few showers ahead of a cold front which will bring a more significant band of rain that is likely be quite heavy for a time. As colder drier air arrives the rain may turn to sleet or even wet snow for a time, possibly enough for a slight accumulation over the highest hills.
By dawn the cloud will have pushed away allowing a slight ground frost to develop on the cars and grass.
Temperature a mild 8’c to start but falling behind the cold front with lows of 2’c to 3’c by dawn with the odd sheltered rural spot down to 0’c
