We still have a few showers around at the moment but these will give way to more persistent rain as we move through the afternoon, some could be heavy later with winds increasing to gale force. Max temperature 8'c-10'c

Tonight
The rain will move through with showers following in behind which may be heavy with hail and thunder for a time. Later in the night another band of more persistent rain will move in from the Northwest and as it does so the rain may turn to sleet and perhaps even snow in places, especially over the hills. After a lull in the winds they will increase again back up to gale force. Min temperature around dawn with 2'c in places away from the west coast where 4'c is more likely.
Wind SW 20-28mph veering NNW and increasing to 48-55mph with 60mph gusts
Tomorrow
A cloudy start with sleet or snow in places, perhaps even a covering over the hills too.
The cloud will clear through the morning with sunny spells developing. Max temperature 3'c-4'c
Wind NNW 48-58mph becoming 35-45mph. Gusts of 60mph at first.
