Sunny at first but cloud increasing with a little rain possible later

There were some dense patches of fog this morning as well as a ground frost and also a slight air frost in places too. Cloud looked likely to increase through the morning but it now seems that the thickest cloud will be a few hours later than originally expected.

The air frost pockets were very localised as you can see below. These temperatures were taken using a car thermometer less than quarter of a mile apart!

This afternoon (30th)

Sunny spells at first but cloud will slowly push in from the west during the afternoon with the risk of a little light rain in a few places by evening.

Temperature 9'c to 11'c

Wind ESE 3-8mph soon becoming SSW 8-12mph and increasing further as we head into the evening

Rainfall 0-0.5mm

Tonight (30th)

A mostly cloudy night with some patchy light rain and drizzle as well as low cloud and hill fog. Some more persistent rain may arrive by dawn.

Temperature 8'c to 10'c

Wind SW 26-34mph becoming WSW 28-35mph

Rainfall 0.2-1mm

Tomorrow (31st)

A cloudy start with rain at times during the morning. During the afternoon the rain will clear away to the southeast with some bright or sunny spells developing with possibly the odd shower here and there although most places missing them.

Temperature 9'c to 10'c becoming 6'c to 7'c through the afternoon

Wind W 35-42mph becoming WNW 26-34mph around the middle of the day

Rainfall 2-3mm
