A fairly cold and clear night with a widespread ground frost as well as a few pockets of air frost too. It will be generally quite misty with a few patches of thicker fog in some low lying areas, river basins and valleys, especially in more central and eastern parts.

Temperature 1'c to 3'c generally but as low as -1'c or -2'c in a few localised spots.

Wind first half of the night W 8-12mph but around 15-20mph in the west. Second half of the night SW 5-10mph in most areas but W 12-16mph in the west and northwest.

A mostly sunny start to the day but a little cloud will develop at times which may bring the odd shower although most places will remain dry.

Wind SW 4-8mph becoming SE 8-12mph

A mixture of clear and cloudier periods with the risk of a ground frost.
