Sunny spells at times as well as a few snow flurries moving through which may be heavy enough for a slight covering in some places.

Temperature 0'c to 1'c although the odd spot in central parts may rise to 2'c this afternoon

Tonight

Clear spells will develop at times but also some cloudier periods likely too with a few snow flurries. Later in the night the risk of some heavier flurries are likely to arrive in more southern parts of the island which may give a covering here. There will be a severe frost.

Temperature -4'c to -1'c, highest in the far east and southeast at -1'c but -4'c to -2 in central and western parts with the odd spot possibly falling as low as -6'c

Wind ENE 18-22mph becoming E 22-26mph later in the night

Snowfall 0.5-2cm

Tomorrow

Heavy snow flurries to start the day (mostly in the south of the island) which may give a covering in some places although during the afternoon the flurries should mostly move away with some sunny spells developing.

Temperature -1'c to 1'c

Wind E 18-22mph becoming 35-40mph

Snowfall 0.2-1cm
