This afternoon

A band of showery rain will cross the island and this rain may be heavy at times. Later on in the afternoon/early evening the heaviest rain will clear through to give some brighter spells to end the day although a few showers are still possible which may be thundery.

Temperature 7'c to 8'c although a few spots reaching 9'c

Further showers likely for a time although some clearer spells possible too. Later in the night most of the showers should move away as the cloud thickens ahead of the next area of rain.

Wind SW 18-24mph becoming SE 10-15mph later

Tomorrow

Perhaps some early brightness before an area of rain moves up across the island. Some of this rain may be very heavy at times and also rather persistent. It will feel cold for the time of year. Temperature 6'c to 7'c

Wind SE 12-16mph becoming E 20-25mph then turning SW 18-22mph by evening
