Details :

During Saturday 2 main areas of heavy thundery showers are likely to affect the Isle of Wight.

Saturday morning is likely to see showery outbreaks moving north from the English channel and these showers could be very heavy with the risk of thunder. Localised downpours may give some localised flash flooding although it seems likely that these will ease during the day with just the odd heavy shower during the afternoon as well as some brighter spells.

During the evening a further spell of showers and thunderstorms will move north from the English channel and these could produce some torrential rain with the risk of hail and also some very strong wind gusts along the leading edge of the showers.

Please note that these showers will be very localised and some places may miss them altogether.
