Heatwave with potential of 30'c next week!


Today

Long sunny spells with perhaps a little patchy cloud bubbling up early afternoon.

Temperature 20'c to 22'c

Wind N 6-10mph becoming SW 9-14mph this afternoon

Tonight

Clear and rather chilly, perhaps with the odd mist patch in some rural spots.

Temperature 10'c to 12'c but a few rural spots could fall as low as 8'c

Wind WNW becoming N 7-12mph

Tomorrow

Another fine sunny day with just a little patchy cloud developing during the afternoon although this is likely to increase as we move into the evening.

Temperature 21'c to 23'c with the odd spot seeing 24'c in the far northeast although the far south and west closer to 18'c

Wind NNW 7-12mph becoming WSW 12-16mph during the afternoon

HEATWAVE UPDATE!

As we move in to next week the temperature will rise day by day with it reaching the high 20's Celsius or even possibly the low 30's later in the week. Please take note of the UV index as this shows the strength of the sun which will be at the absolute maximum that is possible here in the UK, this means if you are spending any time outside you should always apply sunscreen. The heat itself will be most significant in central and western parts of the island with places close to the east and south coast feeling much cooler.
