Hot and sunny again today but turning somewhat cooler by midweek.


Yesterdays Round the Island Race took place in very light winds with some competitors still arriving back in Cowes as the sun was setting! A beautiful day over all though with temperatures hitting around 24'c to 26'c over the water and 32'c in more inland parts of the island.

Today

Another hot sunny day with light winds and mostly clear skies other than a little patchy cloud bubbling up this afternoon.

Temperature 27'c to 30'c with one or two spots perhaps seeing 31'c or 32'c but closer to 24'c on windward coasts

Wind NNE 5-9mph with onshore breezes developing around the coasts before becoming WSW 10-15mph generally

Tonight

A warm night in the towns although cooler in the countryside under mostly clear skies. We may see the odd mist patch developing in some low lying valleys.

Temperature 19'c to 21'c in the towns but closer to 15'c to 17'c in the countryside

Wind SE 8-14mph becming light and variable 0-5mph

Tomorrow

Another hot and sunny start to the day but perhaps with more breeze during the afternoon as well as some cloud developing at times which will make things feel a little cooler. Temperature 27'c to 29'c with the odd 30'c possible in central parts

Wind Light and variable with onshore sea breezes developing before turning SW 12-17mph Tue - Thu Still some fine warm weather around but with somewhat more cloud than recent days. Temperatures ranging between 22'c and 26'c

Winds light or moderate from the E on Tuesday but becoming variable by Wednesday
