Another mostly cloudy day with a few showers at first, although some more persistent rain will move down from the northwest later in the afternoon and evening. Temperature 16-17°C Wind south-southwest 12-23mph
TUESDAY
Apart from some patchy early rain it looks like a reasonable day with a mixture of cloud and occasional sunny spells, although perhaps the odd shower moving in off the channel towards evening. Temperature 17-18°C

WEDNESDAY
A major change in conditions compared to the previous day with a mixture of heavy rain and strong winds, although perhaps turning more showery later. Temperature 17-18°C Wind strong - gale south becoming west-southwest during the afternoon
THURSDAY
Further rain at times due to a strong low pressure system moving across southern england, although the exact track is rather uncertain, so we have very low confidence in how much rain will fall. Temperature 15-17°C Wind fresh to strong west or west to southwest
FRIDAY
Turning much colder and fresher and we see strong northerly winds pushing down across the country and over the island. Morning rain should give way to brighter conditions with occasional sunny spells during the afternoon. Temperature 12-13°C Wind fresh to strong north 19-38mph
There are a few hints that the storm system on thursday/friday could give much stronger winds than currently predicted, so we will update you in the coming days.
