TODAY
After a reasonably fine start we will see rain soon arriving and this will become heavy and persistent. Becoming very mild for the time of year by late afternoon. Temperature 6-7°C becoming 10-11°C by late afternoon Wind west 6-11mph becoming south then east-southeast after midday and increasing to 14-26mph but turning south-southwest 21-36mph by late afternoon Rainfall 15-20mm but as high as 25-30mm in some parts
TONIGHT
Further spells of rain at times, turning wintry after midnight with some sleet and snow mixed in, especially over high ground, although we aren't expecting any accumulations due to the temperature rising slightly once again as we end the night. It will become windy though with gales in exposed parts. Temperature 8-9°C at first, falling to 1-3°C after midnight but rising closer to 3-5°C by dawn Wind south 20-35mph becoming northwest 35-60mph for a time before slowly easing to 25-40mph by dawn Rainfall 8-12mm
TOMORROW
A cold and cloudy start with some mostly light and patchy rain. As we move through the day we may stills ee the odd patch of light rain here and there and it will remain mostly cloudy, although perhaps a few glimpses of weak sunshine towards the end of the day. Temperature 5-6°C Wind northwest 23-40mph becoming 17-30mph Rainfall 1-2mm
