TODAY
A cold, bleak and windy start with a little patchy rain at times. As the day goes on the risk of rain will gradually diminish, although still perhaps with a few spots in the wind from time to time. Temperature 5-6°C Wind northwest 23-45mph becoming 19-35mph by the middle of the day then becoming 15-30mph by the end of the day Rainfall 0-1mm (34.1mm fallen at our Lake station through the course of the storm)
TONIGHT
The cloud will break up rather quickly to give a cold and mostly clear night across the island with a slight frost and the risk of some rural ice patches. Temperature 0-2°C but perhaps as low as -1°C in a few sheltered rural parts Wind northwest 14-26mph becoming 4-9mph later in the night
TOMORROW
A rather pleasant day with good sunny spells and just occasional areas of cloud moving through. Temperature 4-5°C Wind west-northwest 3-6mph becoming variable 0-3mph
