Morning update - Cloud and occasional brightness developing today, cloud and sun tomorrow

TODAY

There will be a lot more cloud around than on recent days, especially through this morning, with the risk of the odd localised shower. However, most places will remain dry. As we move through into the afternoon, some breaks in the cloud are likely to develop here and there, allowing for a few sunny spells.

Temperature: 23–25°C across central, northern and eastern parts, but closer to 21–22°C towards the south and west of the island.

Wind: East to southeast 5–10 mph, turning southwest across more western parts around the middle of the day, whilst remaining more southeasterly towards eastern parts. The southwesterly wind will gradually push eastwards across the island during the afternoon, becoming west-southwest towards the evening, generally 8–12 mph.

Rainfall: Less than 1 mm, with localised rainfall possible.

TONIGHT

A dry night across the island, with varying amounts of cloud and perhaps the odd clear spell here and there. Still fairly warm across most parts.

Temperature: 16–18°C

Wind: West 5–11 mph, becoming northwest or west-northwest later in the night.

TOMORROW

A lot of cloud around to start the day, but this will break up as the morning goes on, with some sunny spells developing into the afternoon. However, there is a chance of the odd localised shower developing and, whilst most places will once again remain dry, the odd shower is possible here and there. As we move in towards the evening, we will see more in the way of sunny spells developing, especially towards the end of the day.

Temperature: 23–24°C generally, but closer to 21–22°C in southern and western parts.

Wind: West to northwest 4–9 mph to start the day, becoming west and then finally west to southwest, increasing to 14–24 mph during the afternoon.

Rainfall: 0–1 mm, with localised rainfall possible.
