Morning update - Sun, cloud with the odd shower today, cooler with more in the way of cloud tomorrow

TODAY

A fine, hot start to the day across the island with hazy sunshine at first, but cloud increasing along with one or two showers moving in off the channel, although these will be very localised but possibly heavy. Temperature 27-29°C in central and eastern parts 25-27°C in most other places although only around 20-21°C in the far south and west Wind south 5-12mph becoming southwest later Rainfall 0-3mm with localised rainfall possible

TONIGHT

A dry night with clear spells, although increasing cloud later. Temperature 16-18°C Wind west-southwest 5-11mph becoming 9-14mph later

TOMORROW

After a fine start we will see the cloud increasing with the odd patch of showery rain here anbd there, although many places remaining dry. Temperature 20-22°C but closer to 18°C around windward coasts Wind west-southwest 15-28mph
