TODAY
A generally rather cloudy day, especially this morning, with a little patchy rain here and there. As we move into the afternoon, we are likely to see a few cloud breaks developing, especially towards the end of the day, when some sunny spells should develop.
Temperature: 21 to 22°C in the west and south, 23 to 24°C in central, northern and eastern parts, perhaps reaching 25°C in the odd spot in the north and east
Wind: West-southwest 14 to 28 mph
Rainfall: 0 to 1 mm
TONIGHT
A dry start to the night with clear spells, but the cloud will thicken up later in the night as a band of rain moves in from the northwest. Although the rain isn't likely to be particularly heavy, it should be enough to get the ground wet.
Temperature: 16 to 18°C
Wind: West to northwest 5 to 11 mph, becoming west later at 11 to 18 mph
Rainfall: 1 to 2 mm
TOMORROW
Tomorrow will start cloudy, with the overnight rain lingering at first, but this will clear away for a time. However, there is a chance that the rain may begin to creep back in from the south later in the morning or early in the afternoon. Whilst it does seem likely that most of this will stay in the English Channel, it could creep far enough north to clip the island, but this is rather uncertain at the moment. Later in the afternoon this should completely clear away, but there will still be the risk of a few showers moving in from the west as we move towards the evening.
Temperature: 19 to 21°C, coolest in the west and south and warmest in the north and east
Wind: West 10 to 18 mph, becoming west-southwest 14 to 23 mph, increasing to 17 to 30 mph by late afternoon
Rainfall: 0 to 1 mm, but perhaps as high as 2 to 3 mm if the rainfall does move back in from the south later, although there are considerable uncertainties with this
