Morning update - Persistent rain developing later today, downpours early and late tomorrow + Weather Warning

TODAY

Cloud along with a few showers this morning, followed by an afternoon of more persistent rain which will sometimes be rather heavy later, although clearing away later on during the evening.

Wind west-southwest 11-18mph becoming south 12-20mph later

Rainfall 10-15mm

TONIGHT

Rain at first followed by a scattering of showers, although there is likely to be some locally torential and thundery downpours later.

Wind west-southwest 14-26mph becoming south-southwest 18-34mph by dawn

Rainfall 3-20mm witgh highly localised variations

TOMORROW

Heavy and possibly thundery showers at first, clearing for a time which will allow some brighter spells to develop, although still with the odd heavy localised shower. Later in the afternoon and evening we will see further heavy and sometimes thundery showers moving in from the channel.

Wind west-southwest 16-30mph becoming southwest 24-45mph as we move towards the evening then veering west-southwest later in the evening

Rainfall 2-10mm but perhaps as high as 15-20mm with highly localised variations
