TODAY

A rather miserable day with patchy rain and drizzle at times along with some strong and gusty winds. Low cloud and hill fog affecting southern and western parts too. Temperature 11-12°C Wind south-southwest 30-50mph becoming south 34-60mph for a time later

Patchy rain will become briefly very heavy (locally) with some gusty winds as we see a squall line developing and moving in from the west, followed by showers during the early hours, some of which may be locally rather heavy. Temperature 8-10°C but perhaps as low as 6-7°C in some sheltered eastern parts towards dawn Wind south 32-55mph gusting as high as 65mph locally, becoming southwest 11-19mph shortly before midnight and remaining much the same thereafter Rainfall 2-4mm

TOMORROW

A day of showers and occasional brighter spells. Some of the showers during the afternoon may well become locally very heavy, perhaps with a rumble of thunder in one or two places. Temperature 10-12°C Wind southwest 14-24mph rainfall 2-8mm with highly localised amounts
