Spells of rain at times this morning, turning heavy for a time before clearing away after midday to give an afternoon of gradually brightening conditions. Temperature 11-12°C this morning, 9-10°C this afternoon

Wind south-southwest 22-40mph becoming west 16-28mph mph after midday and dropping to 10-19mph by the end of the day

Rainfall 3-5mm

TONIGHT

Long clear spells through the night with a slight frost developing in some parts. Temperature 2-4°C but a few rural spots falling as low as 0°C Wind west 12-20mph becoming northwest 10-18mph

TOMORROW

A fine, fresh start with long sunny spells, although as the day goes on the cloud will increase, especially towards evening when a few showers may well run off the channel. Temperature 8-9°C Wind west-northwest 6-12mph becoming west 10-18mph through most of the day but turning west-southwest towards evening Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
