A cloudy day with rain at times through the morning which will be occasionally heavy, although turning brighter from mid afternoon with sunny spells and showers. Temperature 7-9°C Wind south-southwest 15-28mph becoming 21-40mph for a time around the middle of the day before turning west 12-24mph

Any remaining showers will soon fade away to give a night of broken cloud, occasional clear spells and just the outside chance of the odd light shower but most places remaining dry. Temperature 3-5°C Wind west 14-26mph becoming 17-30mph for a time before turning northwest 11-19mph during the early hours
