Morning update - Rain or sleet but brighter later today, fine and sunny tomorrow

TODAY

Rain along with a little sleet at times during the morning, perhaps even with a little wet snow over high ground, but this will clear away for the afternoon and allow some sunny spells to develop, although feeling cold throughout. Temperature 4-5°C but as high as 6°C in more northern parts Wind north-northwest 18-30mph becoming 22-40mph for a time around the middle of the day before dropping back to 15-25mph by late afternoon Rainfall 1-3mm

TONIGHT

Long clear spells will lead to a slight frost across most areas but with no risk of any mist or fog due to the continuing breeze. Temperature 0-2°C but a few sheltered rural spots could fall as low as -1°C Wind northwest 14-26mph becoming 11-18mph

TOMORROW

A fine, sunny but rather chilly day with moderate breeze. Temperature 4-5°C but as high as 6°C around windward coasts Wind northwest 11-19mph becoming 14-24mph
