Morning update - Showers developing today, showers then rain tomorrow

TODAY

Any remaining showery rain will clear to sunny spells and broken cloud by mid morning, although we will see further showers developing as the day goes on, some of which are likely to be locally heavy. Temperature 18-20°C Wind north 4-9mph soon becoming west-northwest 19-35mph for a time before turning west 15-29mph

Rainfall 0-3mm with localised rainfall likely (38.8mm fallen from midnight until 8am)

TONIGHT

Showers easing away during the evening to give a mostly fine, dry night with long clear spells, although the odd shower could perhaps clip the far south of the island later. Temperature 13-15°C but closer to 18°C around windward coasts Wind west 11-19mph

TOMORROW

A bright start to the day, but the cloud will be gradually increasing, first bringing a few showers off the channel, but then more general rain will move in from the west by mid afternoon, becoming persistent and rather heavy at times before clearing during the evening. Becoming windy. Temperature 17-19°C Wind southwest 11-18mph becoming south or south-southwest 18-30mph by midday and increasing to 20-43mph from mid afternoon Rainfall 5-8mm
