Morning update - Showers easing for a time today, further showers tomorrow

TODAY

Localised morning showers will slowly ease as we move into the afternoon, and whilst we can't rule out the odd one here and there, the majority of showers will shift towards the mainland, leaving the island with sunny spells, occasional areas of cloud and just the odd shower. Temperature 18-20°C Wind west-southwest 12-23mph becoming 17-31mph

Rainfall 0-3mm with localised rainfall likely

TONIGHT

Showers will begin to develop once again, becoming frequent and merging into a longer spell of rain, potentially turning very heavy later in the night, perhaps even thundery. Temperature 16-18°C Wind southwest 15-28mph becoming south-southwest 12-20mph then turning west-northwest 5-11mph by dawn

Rainfall 3-6mm but locally as high as 15-20mm under any heavier spells of rain

TOMORROW

Early rain soon clearing to leave behind a day of sunny spells, broken cloud and scattered showers with a few heavy ones locally. Temperature 18-20°C Wind west 8-17mph becoming 15-28mph during the afternoon

Rainfall 0-4mm with localised rainfall likely
