Morning update - Showers then rain today, Showers then mostly fine tomorrow

TODAY

A bright morning with scattered showers, although the cloud will gradually thicken up as an area of rain and strong winds push in from the west later in the afternoon. Temperature 18-20°C Wind southwest 14-25mph becoming south 17-32mph during the afternoon and increasing to 19-38mph during the evening

Rainfall 4-6mm

TONIGHT

Rain at first but this will clear away by midnight and the cloud will break to allow a few clear spells, but we will see showers developing and moving in off the channel during the second half of the night, some of which may be rather heavy. Temperature 15-17°C generally but closer to 18°C in the south and west

Wind south-southwest 19-38mph becoming west-southwest 14-26mph

Rainfall 1-3mm

TOMORROW

Morning showers will clear away to give a bright afternoon with sunny spells and just the outside chance of a shower, with most of the showery activity shifting towards the mainland from late morning. Temperature 18-20°C Wind southwest 15-26mph becoming 17-32mph during the afternoon Rainfal 0-2mm with localised rainfall possible
