Morning update - Slowly brightening today with a few showers, sunny spells and patchy cloud tomorrow

TODAY

A lot of cloud during the first half of the day but this will gradually break as we move into the afternoon with some sunny spells developing. We will also see a few showers, especially later in the day with the risk of hail and perhaps even some sleet mixed in. Temperature 8-10°C but falling closer to 3-5°C in any showers Wind west-southwest 18-29mph becoming 21-35mph for a time before easing back to 12-25mph later Rainfall 0-2mm with localised rainfall possible


TONIGHT

A few showers at first, perhaps with hail and sleet mixed in but these will soon move away as long clear spells develop, along with a widespread slight frost. Temperature 0-2°C but closer to 3-4°C around windward coasts Wind west-northwest 11-16mph becoming northwest 5-9mph by dawn

TOMORROW

A fine day with sunny spells but patchy cloud developing by late morning and into the afternoon for a time. Temperature 9-11°C Wind northwest 7-12mph becoming west-southwest during the afternoon
