A fine, dry day with a mixture of sunny spells and occasional areas of cloud moving through. Temperature 13-15°C but closer to 11°C in the south and west Wind west 4-9mph becoming west-southwest 12-20mph by midday and turning southwest

TONIGHT

After a dry first half of the night but rain will arrive around midnight, becoming persistent and heavy for a time with rather gusty winds, but things should clear away around dawn as the rain moves off to the east and the cloud breaks. Temperature 9-11°C Wind south-southwest 9-16mph becoming south-southeast 16-29mph after midnight and increasing further to 23-38mph during the early hours before turning west 15-35mph around dawn
