A mixture of sunny spells and scattered localised showers this morning followed by a mostly dry afternoon with sunny spells and occasional areas of cloud moving through. Very windy. Temperature 6-8°C Wind west-northwest 32-52mph with localised gusts as high as 60mph (mostly in the west)

TONIGHT

A chilly night ahead with long clear spells but that wind preventing the temperature from falling too far, so no risk of a frost. Temperature 4-5°C Wind northwest 28-45mph becoming 18-30mph by dawn

TOMORROW A fine, sunny start to the day but we will see high, thin cloud streaming in from the west, gradually thickening and lowering to bring patchy rain towards the end of the day. Temperature 7-8°C Wind northwest 16-28mph becoming 10-18mph later
