Morning update - Sunny spells and patchy cloud today, more rain and gales tomorrow

TODAY
Sunny spells but occasional areas of cloud moving through at times during the day. Tempertature 6-7°C Wind northwest 7-14mph becoming southwest 3-8mph by the end of the day
TONIGHT
Clear spells at first will lead to a slight ground frost but after midnight the temperature will slowly rise as the winds pick up from the chanel along with increasing amounts of cloud. Later in the night we are likely to see a few showers moving in. Temperature 1-3°C at first but closer to 6°C in the south and west becoming 6-8°C across the island as a whole by the end of the night Wind south 5-11mph becoming 14-25mph after midnight and 18-34mph by dawn
Rainfall 0-2mm with localised rainfall possible
TOMORROW
The odd shower at first but persistent and occasionally heavy rain moving in by late morning and lasting right through the day. Temperature 9-10°C Wind south-southeast 21-36mph becoming 24-54mph with gusts as high as 70mph at times
