Morning update - Very hot both today and tomorrow cooling breeze tomorrow

TODAY

A very hot day across the island with almost unbroken sunshine, and potentially record breaking temperatures. There is also a very low chance of a thundery shower breaking out close to or just to the north of the island, but the risk is barely worth mentioning.........although we will keep an eye on things. Temperature 35-37°C in central and northern parts, 32-34°C elsewhere although perhaps closer to 25°C around windward coasts Wind north 6-12mph becoming variable 0-4mph but with onshore coastal breezes 5-9mph

TONIGHT

A clear but warm night making sleeping rather difficult for many of us. Temperature 21-23°C but as high as 24-25°C in southern and western parts Wind variable 0-3mph becoming east-northeast 6-12mph and increasing to 12-20mph by dawn

TOMORROW

Another sunny and very hot day across the island, perhaps even slightly hotter towards western parts than we are seeing today, although eastern and southern areas will feel much cooler due to the freshening easterly winds. Temperature 32-34°C across many areas, 35-36°C in western parts Wind east-northeast 16-28mph becoming 17-35mph
