TODAY Spells of rain, becoming heavy and persistent by late morning and staying with us through the afternoon. Temperature 11-12°C Wind south 16-30mph becoming 28-50mph this afternoon Rainfall 20-30mm, perhaps as high as 40mm locally

TONIGHT

The rain will clear to showers for a time before most of these also clearing away, allowing for some clearer spells to develop towards dawn. Temperature 9-11°C Wind southwest 20-45mph becoming west-southwest 12-22mph Rainfall 3-5mm

TOMORROW

A complete contrast to Thursday, with plenty of sunshine, just occasional areas of cloud moving through and also one or two showers. Temperature 10-12°C Wind west-southwest 14-25mph Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
