TODAY

Morning cloud and any remaining patchy rain will move away to the east, so that by late morning sunny spells will develop from the west, and these will remain with us for much of the day. However, later in the afternoon and towards the evening, we will start to see an increasing risk of a few showers moving in from the Channel.

Temperature: 19–21°C, perhaps reaching 22°C in northern and eastern parts of the Island

Wind: southwest, 18–30 mph, becoming 14–23 mph, then turning more southerly later in the afternoon and into the evening at 6–12 mph

Rainfall: 0–2 mm (with 0.8 mm fallen overnight)

TONIGHT

Some scattered heavy showers will develop through the evening. Whilst not everywhere will see them, where showers do develop they could produce some locally torrential downpours, with the possibility of some thunder mixed in too, especially towards dawn.

Temperature: 14–16°C, but closer to 18°C on windward coasts

Wind: south to south-southeast, 10–18 mph at first, becoming southwest, 14–24 mph later, then turning a little more west-southwest by dawn

Rainfall: 1–6 mm, with highly localised variations

TOMORROW

A few heavy showers around to start the day, but these will gradually clear away to leave behind sunny spells, patchy cloud and the outside chance of a shower. Most places should remain mostly dry through the afternoon.

Temperature: 18–20°C, warmest in the north and east and coolest in the south and west

Wind: west, 12–19 mph, becoming west-southwest during the afternoon, 15–23 mph
