Windy with showery rain clearing to sunny spells today – mostly fine with long sunny spells tomorrow! 🌦️☀️

TODAY
Cloudy with the odd shower this morning, along with low cloud and hill fog, especially across western and southern parts. By mid to late morning, a band of showery rain will move through, before clearing away during the afternoon with sunny spells following behind.
Temperature: 18–20°C
Wind: west-southwest, 24–40 mph, increasing to 28–45 mph by late morning, before turning more westerly and easing to 20–35 mph around lunchtime, then dropping further to 19–28 mph by the end of the day
Rainfall: 1–2 mm (1.2 mm fell overnight at our Lake station).
TONIGHT
Long clear spells, with just the odd patch of cloud here and there. Temperatures will not fall away too much in the breeze, although one or two rural spots could become rather chilly. The odd patch of low-lying mist or fog may develop by dawn, but this will be very localised. There is also the outside chance of a shower towards dawn, although the risk is very low.
Temperature: generally 8–10°C, although a few low-lying rural spots could fall to 6–7°C, while the far south and west will remain closer to 15–16°C where light onshore breezes continue
Wind: west-northwest, 11–18 mph, easing to 3–7 mph later in the night, then becoming west-southwest at 3–5 mph by dawn.
TOMORROW
A fine and bright start, with sunny spells and patchy cloud. There is again the small chance of the odd, mostly light shower moving in from the Channel, although most places will stay dry. In general, it will be a mostly fine day with some good, long sunny spells.
Temperature: 16–18°C
Wind: west-southwest, 3–5 mph at first, becoming southwest to south-southwest at 12–19 mph by midday, then remaining around 12–20 mph during the afternoon
Rainfall: 0–1 mm, with localised rainfall possible (but unlikely).
