A fine afternoon, dense fog warning for tonight
This afternoon will continue to see good sunny spells with areas of cloud moving through from time to time. Fog will develop rapidly this evening in low lying spots, river basins and valleys and will become more widespread as the evening goes on.

Wind SW 8-12mph becoming S or variable 3-7mph
Tonight will start mostly fine and clear but fog patches already developing in low lying areas are likely to become more widespread. Not everywhere will see the fog but it may be extremely thick locally. As the night goes on the wind will increase which is likely to lift some of the fog into low cloud.
A few places may see a touch of ground frost, especially in central parts.
Min temperature 1'c to 4'c, closer to 3'c or 4'c in the east and south, 1'c to 3'c in central parts.
Wind variable 2-6mph becoming NE 8-12mph
Tomorrow may start with some fog patches in places but most of the fog should have lifted into low cloud. Some brighter spells may develop at times, especially in more western and southern parts of the island.
