More rain on the way! Sunny spells this afternoon, risk of the odd shower. Turning cloudy overnight

This afternoon will continue with some good sunny spells but occasional areas of cloud may develop which could bring the odd shower but these will be extremely well scattered and many places will remain dry.

Max temperature 7'c to 8'c Wind WNW 25-30mph

Rainfall 0-0.3mm Tonight will start off with some clear spells but the cloud will slowly increase as the night goes on. There may be a slight frost in central and eastern parts at first. Later on in the night rain will spread across the island which may become persistent and rather heavy by dawn.

Min temperature first half of the night 4'c to 6'c in the west and south, 2'c to 4'c in other parts with the odd pocket in the east dropping close to 0'c.

Min temperature second half of the night 6'c to 7'c in the west and south, 4'c to 6'c in other parts.

Wind WNW 20-28mph becoming SW 12-18mph then turning SE 12-16mph by dawn

Rainfall 4-6mm

Tomorrow will start cloudy with outbreaks of rain although the heaviest rain should clear away during the morning to leave a little patchy light rain or drizzle with the risk of hill fog by the afternoon. Max temperature 6'c to 8'c Wind S 8-12mph becoming E for a short time during the morning before turning WNW during the afternoon and becoming 26-32mph

Rainfall 2-3mm FURTHER OUTLOOK Towards the end of the month things look very likely to settle down with light winds, frost and fog at night and mostly fine days as an area of high pressure settles over the UK.
