Long clear spells leading to very chilly conditions with the risk of a ground frost in some central parts.

Temperature 7'c to 9'c on windward coasts 3'c to 5'c in central parts with a few localised spots falling as low as 1'c

Wind WSW 14-19mph becoming S-SE 3-9mph for a time before increasing a little around dawn

A fine sunny start to the day but high thin cloud will push across from the west making the sunshine hazy, especially as we move through the afternoon.
