Forecast for the Week Ahead August 4th


Summary

The Jet Stream will be staying fairly close to the UK this week which means unsettled weather is never too far away. We won't see too much rain and most of what falls will generally be rather light. We will also see a few days of brightness mixed in too, so all in all a pretty typical week for UK summertime.


Tonight Clear spells through most of the night but perhaps occasional areas of high, thin cloud moving through. Temperature 16-17°C Wind west-southwest 7-14mph



Tomorrow

A fine and pleasantly warm day with sunny spells and occasional areas of cloud moving through. Temperature 20-22°C with a few spots seeing 23°C in the north and east Wind southwest 11-19mph




Tuesday

Cloud and occasional rain to start the day but becoming dry from the west by mid morning, then turning much brighter with sunny spells for the afternoon. Temperature 19-21°C Wind southwest 12-22mph at first becoming west by midday then west-southwest 16-29mph by mid afternoon



Wednesday

A few showers to start the day but becoming dry with sunny spells and broken cloud. Temperature 18-20°C Wind west-southwest 14-23mph becoming 17-32mph during the afternoon





Thursday

There is currently some uncertainty on the timing but it looks like a cloudy day with patchy rain or drizzle at times along with low cloud and hill fog. Becoming windy too! Temperature 18-20°C Wind southwest 14-25mph becoming south-southwest 22-43mph during the afternoon





Friday

A mostly cloudy day with patchy light rain or drizzle in places along with a few limited brighter spells. Temperature 19-21°C Wind west-southwest 16-34mph
