Writer's picture: iwmet service iwmet service

Today Morning brightness being replaced by fairly cloudy conditions for a time, still with the chance of the odd localised shower, although as we move into the afternoon things should begin to brighten up. A few showers are likely to develop just to the north of the island from mid afternoon onwards and these may potentially reach the northern half of the island, but the majority of the showers staying over the solent. Feeling cool in the fresh breeze but pleasant enough in any shelter. Temperature 20-22°C but around 18-19°C Wind west 19-35mph becoming 14-27mph by mid afternoon then 8-17mph by evening Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible

Tonight A fine, dry night with a mixture of clear spells and occasional cloudier periods. A few rural mist patches are likely by dawn. Temperature 12-14°C but a few rural spots falling as low as 10°C Wind west 6-12mph becoming west-northwest 3-6mph

Tomorrow A fine, dry day with sunny spells along with some high, thin cloud later. Temperature 20-22°C but around 17-18°C in the south and west Wind west 3-7mph becoming southwest 9-15mph by late morning
