July 24th, Morning update
Today A fine and rather pleasant day as a whole but the sunny spells during the morning will gradually be replaced by cloudier conditions during the afternoon. Temperature 18-20°C Wind west-southwest 4-9mph becoming 11-19mph from midday onward
This evening and tonight Further thickening of the cloud will lead to some patchy light rain in places with low cloud and hill fog likely by dawn. Temperature 16-17°C Wind west-southwest 9-15mph becoming southwest 11-18mph after midnight Rainfall less than 1mm
Tomorrow
Cloud and patchy light rain will become heavier and more persistent during the morning and into the afternoon. There is a hint that the heaviest rain may pass through the channel, but at the moment we suspect it will still clip the south coast of the UK, including the island. Low cloud and hill fog likely. Temperature 16-17°C Wind southwest 12-20mph becoming 16-28mph for a time during the afternoon Rainfall 2-5mm
