TODAY

Morning showers will ease and mostly move away to leave some fine, sunny spells. However, there will still be the risk of the odd rogue shower moving in from the English Channel through the rest of the day. These will be very well scattered, though, with mostly sunny skies and just occasional areas of cloud moving through.

Temperature: 17–19°C

Wind: west to west-northwest, 8–14 mph at first, becoming west-southwest at 14–24 mph during the afternoon

Rainfall: 0–2 mm, with localised rainfall possible (1.6 mm fell overnight at our Lake station)

TONIGHT

Some patchy high cloud will move in during the evening, but it should remain mostly dry overnight. There is the outside chance of a shower, although the risk is very low, with most places staying completely dry.

Temperature: generally 14–16°C across the Island, perhaps falling as low as 12–13°C in some inland rural spots, but remaining closer to 18°C around the Weymouth coast in the southwest

Rainfall: 0–1 mm, with localised rainfall possible

FRIDAY

A generally fine day, with areas of high, thin cloud moving through. There will be some occasional hazy sunny spells, along with occasional cloudier periods.

Temperature: 18–20°C

Wind: southwest, 10–17 mph, becoming south-southwest at 12–20 mph around the middle of the day, before dropping back to 8–15 mph later in the afternoon and evening.
