Morning update - Heavy showers developing today, odd light shower tomorrow

TODAY A cloudy day in general with a slowly increasing risk of a few showers developing, although the majority of these will be towards the north and east at first. As the afternoon goes on the risk of showers increases further, and whilst western and southwestern parts may see somewhat less in the way of heavy showers, central, northern and eastern parts are likely to see some very heavy and perhaps thundery showers developing later in the afternoon and into the evening, although with a few sunny spells breaking through in between. Temperature 20-22°C Wind west 12-20mph becoming west-southwest 14-25mph for a time before turning northwest later

Any showers will gradually fade away to leave behind long clear spells. Temperature 12-14°C Wind north-northwest 11-19mph

A fine, sunny start to the day but the cloud will bubble up, perhaps enough for the odd light shower, although many parts missing these. Temperature 20-22°C Wind northwest 12-22mph Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
