Morning update - Heavy vertical rain for a change instead of horizontal due to the light winds but breezy later, mostly fine tomorrow
Overnight rainfall 9.6mm
TODAY
A wet morning with spells of heavy rain at times, although as mentioned in our original update there are hints that the worst of the rain will be just to our east. The main area of rain will clear away as we move into the afternoon and some brighter spells will develop but still with the risk of a few heavy and possibly thundery showers.
Temperature 16-17°C Wind south 3-6mph becoming west-northwest 17-29mph
Rainfall 8-14mm
TONIGHT
Any remaining showers will clear away to give a fine and mostly dry night with clear spells and occasional patches of cloud. Towards dawn we will see some showers over the channel begin to drift their way closer to the coast in the south of the island, perhaps clipping the island at times by daybreak. Temperature 11-13°C but closer to 16°C in the west Wind west 14-24mph becoming west-southwest by dawn
Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
TOMORROW
The odd shower in the south at first but in general a mostly fine day with broken cloud and sunny spells. Temperature 17-19°C Wind west-southwest 14-25mph becoming 21-35mph during the afternoon and evening Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
