Morning update - Odd shower then bright today, showers easing slowly tomorrow

TODAY

A broken band of showers will cross the island this morning, so not everywhere will see a shower, followed by a mixture of cloud and occasional hazy sunshine. Temperature 15-17°C Wind west-southwest 16-29mph becoming 19-35mph this afternoon

Rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible

TONIGHT

Despite the dry evening, we will soon see showers moving in, some of which are likely to be heavy and rather frequent at times. Temperature 11-13°C Wind southwest 9-18mph becoming west-southwest 12-22mph later in the night

Rainfall 2-6mm with highly localised variations

TOMORROW

A fresh and breezy start to the day with showers moving through, some of which may well be rather heavy and squally. As the morning goes on the risk of showers will drop away so that we are left with an afternoon of sunny spells, broken cloud and perhaps just the odd shower here and there. Later in the afternoon and evening we will see a few more showers developing once again, perhaps locally heavy. Temperature 15-17°C Wind west-southwest 14-25mph becoming 17-35mph during the afternoon, increasing to 24-45mph later in the afternoon and early evening Rainfall 1-5mm with locally variable amounts
