Morning update - Patchy rain today, downpours tonight and tomorrow + Weather Warning
TODAY
Another mostly cloudy day with some patchy, showery rain in places, although some spots escaping relatively well with just the odd light shower. Temperature 17-19°C Wind east-northeast 7-16mph becoming north-northeast later Rainfall 1-4mm
TONIGHT
Cloud along with a few clearer spells are possible at first but there will be an increasing risk of showers as the night goes on, some becoming very heavy and perhaps thundery, also with the risk of some spots seeing multiple rounds of showers moving through leading to locally high rainfall totals. Temperature 13-15°C Wind north-northeast 6-14mph Rainfall 10-30mm with highly localised variations
TOMORROW
Localised heavy showers, perhaps thundery, easing for a time before we see further showers developing. There is a chance that the worst of the showers could go round the island due to a small area of low pressure being centred almost directly over southern England, but there is some uncertainty to the likely position of the heaviest downpours. There is also the chance that we will see one or two funnel clouds or waterspouts developing. Temperature 17-19°C Wind north 3-6mph becoming west-southwest 7-15mph but turning west-northwest by evening Rainfall highly variable amounts with some areas seeing 2-5mm and other areas possibly seeing in excess of 30mm due to the localised nature of the downpours
