Morning update - Rain at times today and tomorrow

TODAY

A band of rain will be moving across our area from the southeast during the morning and this band of rain will shift northwards as we move into the afternoon, although it will occasionally shift back southwards somewhat, giving the island a few showery outbreaks of rain well into the afternoon, with the highest risk towards more northern parts and less in the way of rain towards the south. Temperature 17-18°C Wind variable 2-5mph becoming northwest for a time this afternoon Rainfall 3-8mm with locally variable amounts

TONIGHT

Continuing mostly cloudy but any showery rain should have cleared away, only to be replaced by mist and fog that may well become dense and widespread for a time, but gradually thinning as we move towards dawn. Temperature 12-14°C but staying around 17°C on windward coasts

Wind variable 0-3mph becoming north-northeast 4-8mph by dawn

TOMORROW

A cloudy and rather misty day with low cloud and hill fog likely along with an increasing risk of some showery rain pushing up from the southeast, this is likely to become heavy and perhaps thundery later. Temperature 17-19°C Wind north-northeast 4-8mph becoming 7-15mph Rainfall 3-10mm with locally variable amounts
