Morning update - Showers, locally heavy today, cloudy and mild tomorrow

TODAY

Showers already affecting the island will become heavier and more frequent for a time with the risk of hail and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder locally. From mid afternoon we are likely to see things brighten up significantly, but still with the odd shower. Temperature 13-14°C Wind south 14-26mph becoming southwest 18-35mph but then turning west-southwest 18-35mph by mid afternoon

Rainfall 2-10mm with highly localised variations

TONIGHT

Showers, some of which are likely to be heavy at first, but slowly easing later in the night. We will also see a few clear spells to start but these soon fading. Temperature 13-14°C Wind west-southwest 14-26mph becoming southwest 11-19mph by midnight then south 19-35mph by dawn

Rainfall 0-3mm with localised rainfall possible

TOMORROW

A few showers here and there at first with rather large amounts of cloud moving through. Some brighter spells are certainly possible from time to time though, despite the rather large amounts of cloud. Patchy rain arriving as we move into the evening. Temperature 14-15°C Wind south 18-35mph becoming south-southeast 21-40mph rainfall 0-1mm with localised rainfall possible
