HEADING OUT THIS EVENING? HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT. It looks like being a very mild evening with temperatures around 15 degrees, but also with showers moving in off the channel, some of which will be heavy and perhaps even thundery. Not everywhere will see these showers and you may escape the downpours, but you also may get an absolute soaking! This is the nature of showers, they are very localised and often near impossible to predict their exact tracks, so keep an eye out and maybe take a brolly or some additional waterproofs!
TODAY
After a cloudy start with the odd shower we will see an area of showery rain move up from the south by late morning, although as we move into the afternoon the cloud will begin to break to allow some bright or even sunny spells but still with the risk of the odd shower, and this risk gradually increasing again towards evening when they may even become locally thundery. Temperature 15-16°C Wind south 18-35mph becoming 21-45mph for a time this afternoon
Rainfall 0-3mm with localised rainfall possible
TONIGHT
Showers to start the evening, locally heavy and perhaps even thundery, easing for a time before further showers move through later in the night, again potentially thundery locally. The showers will ease towards dawn for a time. Temperature 11-13°C Wind south-southwest 23-45mph, gusting as high as 6--65mph around the heaviest showers Rainfall 1-5mm generally but locally as high as 10-15mm where showers repeatedly move through
TOMORROW
A bright start with the oidd shower and these will become heavier as the day goes on and a little more frequent and widespread. Temperature 13-14°C Wind west-southwest 20-35mph with occasional gusts to 40-45mph around the heaviest showers Rainfall 0-4mm with localised rainfall likely
