Morning update - Warm today with sun and cloud, fine then showers tomorrow

TODAY

Low cloud, mist and murk will break up to give a fine, warm day with sunny spells and broken cloud. We are also likely to see an area of low cloud moving in off the channel by mid afternoon which will move eastwards across the island, primarily affecting western and southern parts but will creep across most of the island by evening. Temperature 21-23°C but closer to 20°C around windward coasts Wind south-southeast 8-15mph becoming southwest from mid afternoon

TONIGHT

Areas of cloud will break from time to time, but with a gradually thickening trend as the night goes on, although likely staying dry. Temperature 14-16°C Wind southwest 5-12mph becoming 3-6mph

TOMORROW

After a mostly fine start albeit rather cloudy, we will see the cloud thickening further to bring some showery spells of rain, potentially around the middle of the day and staying with us until mid afternoon, although there are considerable uncertainties with the exact timing. Any rain will clear away for the evening as clearer skies move in from the west, although much cooler and fresher too. Temperature 17-19°C but dropping closer to 14-15°C by mid/late afternoon Wind south-southwest 5-11mph at first, becoming south-southwest 15-30mph by midday and increasing further to 25-40mph by late afternoon before turning west 12-25mph during the evening Rainfall 1-3mm
