Outlook for the Week Ahead, August 11th
Tonight
A mostly fine and dry night with long clear spells at first, although some areas of cloud moving through during the second half of the night with the risk of the odd shower. Staying warm. Temperature 20-21°C Wind east 15-28mph
Tomorrow
A fine start to the day with good sunny spells and becoming very warm by late morning, although by then we will see some cloud moving in from the west with the risk of the odd shower before clearing away by mid afternoon. From late morning we are also likely to see some low cloud and hill fog affecting the south and west for a time, perhaps spreading a little further eastwards across the island before breaking up later in the day. Temperature 24-26°C but closer to 20°C around windward coasts
Wind southeast 8-17mph becoming west-southwest 12-22mph during the afternoon See our level 2 Heat Alert for more
Tuesday
A fine day with sunny spells although some cloud moving in later in the day. Temperature 19-21°C Wind west 3-8mph becoming west-southwest 12-22mph during the afternoon
Wednesday
Cloud and patchy rain at first but this will clear later in the day to brighter spells and broken cloud. Temperature 20-22°C Wind west-southwest 9-15mph
Thursday
Not a bad day in general with a bright start but also with gradually increasing cloud amounts through the day to bring rain much later on. Temperature 19-21°C Wind west-southwest 8-16mph becoming 19-35mph later
Friday It is rather uncertain how things will progress at the very end of the coming week but at the moment it looks cool and breezy with rain clearing to sun and cloud. Temperature 19-21°C Wind anywhere from southwest to northwest looks plausible at this point so please check back in a few days.
