Cold with the odd wintry shower tonight, sunny spells tomorrow
Tonights super-moon over Culver Down Todays summary. We had a few showers drifiting through today, some had hail, some had sleet but some places missed them altogether. It was rather chilly but once out the wind very pleasant. Temperature varied between 7'c and 9'c across the island. Clearer skies this evening allowed for good viewing of the "Super-moon" Tonight (31st - 1st)
There will be some good clear spells as well as areas of cloud moving in from the WNW which may be thick enough at times for the odd shower of rain, sleet or hail. There will be a slight ground frost in many areas away from the west and northwest coast. Temperature 2'c to 4'c but a few sheltered central and eastern spots could fall as low as 0'c
Wind WNW 26-32mph becoming NW later
Rainfall 0.2-1mm
Tomorrow (1st) Sunny spells but also some cloud moving through from time to time. Out the wind it will feel quite springlike although there is still the risk of a shower albeit very low and most places will remain dry.
Temperature 6'c to 7'c
Wind NW 25-30mph
Rainfall 0-0.2mm
Tomorrow night (1st/2nd) A dry clear night with a widespread ground frost and a localised air frost. We have been asked multiple times today if its going to snow this weekend!? The answer is: rather unlikely. This weekend we have a sinking area of low pressure moving across the island which will drag in colder conditions as it moves through but it looks a little to mild for snow on Saturday although later saturday night/early Sunday we may see some sleet, especially over the hills, also Sunday night into Monday we may see a few showers of sleet and/or snow. Things may change though so its worth checking back frequently just in case.
