Sunny spells today, a few snow flurries tomorrow


This afternoon (4th) Sunny spells will continue although a little more cloud may start to bubble up as the afternoon goes on and this could bring the odd wintry shower of sleet, snow or hail but most places remaining dry and fine.

Tonight (4th/5th)

A cold clear night with a widespread dry frost with only a little ice on the grass and on cars. We may see some icy patches developing in rural parts though which could lead to black ice, especially where there is field runoff water. Temperature 0'c to 2'c with some localised spots in central, southern and western parts as low as -2'c

Wind NE 23-27mph becoming but closer to 14-21mph away from windward coasts

Tomorrow (5th)

The day will start fine and bright with sunny spells but also some patchy cloud at times. A few light snow showers may develop as the day goes on but they will be very scattered and most places missing them altogether.

Temperature 3'c to 4'c, possibly 5'c in the far southeast

Rainfall (falling as snow) 0-0.2mm
